Who Works For Hire A Packer?
Our packing team consists of a group of hand-picked ladies who are compassionate and understand your possessions are important to you. They go through an extensive professional training process to ensure they know how to pack your items carefully. Our ladies will free up your time so you can deal with your day-to-day obligations and have comfort in the fact that Hire A Packer have trusted, professional, experienced packers doing the work to get your moved quickly, safely and on-time.
Do You Have a Minimum Time for Your Packers?
We have a minimum booking of 2 ladies for 4 hours. This typically starts at 9am and finishes at 1pm. Most people choose to have the ladies come the day before the removalists are due to come. If you need additional hours on the day, you can request it from the team leader.
How much can be packed in a 4 hour session?
A typical 4 hour session with 2 ladies can pack a normal kitchen and another room, or two regular sized rooms.
How many boxes and how much wrapping paper do I need?
Each lady will typically pack 4 to 5 boxes per hour, so for the standard booking of 2 ladies for 4 hours, we recommend you have at least 30-40 boxes available as well as 10kg of butchers paper so they can wrap the delicate items properly. What is the cost?
Our standard booking of 2 ladies for 4 hours is $400 inc. GST. Additional hours can be arranged at a cost of $55 per hour inc GST per lady (so $110 inc. GST for both per hour). Please note both packers always work together and you cannot elect for just one packer to assist you.
Post Move Un-pack? When Is Best to Do It?
It’s up to you. A lot of our clients find that using our ladies on the day after the move is a little less stressful as there aren’t as many removalists and workers around that same day. It also provides a buffer in case the delivery/unload schedule changes. However, if you would like to get in there and get it all done that day that’s not a problem either. We will work around your needs.
Pre-Move Assist- When to schedule?
Once again this really is up to you. Most of the time our recommendation is to do it the day before so the fridge doesn’t defrost and become unusable or you don’t have too many items packed away that you may need to use. If you do want to be extra prepared and do it earlier just let us know. It’s no problem either way.
What Goes Where?
Our staff are happy to take direction from you as to where you’d like your items placed after they are unpacked. If you are not going to be available on the day than they will use their experience and expertise at setting up homes to place your possessions in the most convenient place possible. Let us know what works best for you and we will work alongside you accordingly.
Where Do You Work?
Our staff are available within the metro areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. If you are in a regional area, an additional surcharge may apply so please advise the Hire A Packer staff when requesting a quote.

What About Cleaning?
The Hire A Packer ladies are not cleaners. Should you require them to wipe down shelves before placing your items into them, please let them know on the day.
